Membership of EDFAS
Edinburgh Decorative and Fine Arts Society is the largest of NADFAS’ more than 300 affiliated societies, with 850 members in its two sessions, afternoon and evening. The capacity of the lecture theatre at the Queen Mother Conference Centre at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh sets the limit on our membership – it has been full! We have waiting lists for both sessions, and, if you wish to apply to join EDFAS, you will have to join the waiting list. Those transferring from active membership in another NADFAS affiliated society will normally receive preference in moving from the waiting list.
While on the waiting list for EDFAS membership, you may still attend up to two lectures a year as a guest of a member, and engage in our Church Recording and Heritage Volunteering activities. The Church Recording and Heritage Volunteers website pages describe some past and current projects. To engage in these activities, you would have to become an Affiliate Member of NADFAS, which provides the necessary insurance cover for Heritage Volunteers and Church Recorders. To apply for membership of EDFAS, please complete this membership application form. This is a fillable form that you may view using Adobe Reader or a similar PDF reader program. You may either print this form on your printer and complete it by hand, or else complete the available fields on screen, and then print the filled form, and send it to the appropriate Membership Secretary, depending on whether you wish to join the afternoon or the evening session. Please DO NOT save and eMail the filled form. Current subscription rates are £ 44.00 for single membership, and £ 83.00 for joint membership.
